CLASSIC CAR BOOT SALE IS COMING TO THE NORTH FOR THE FIRST TIME

• The one-of-a-kind event will take over MediaCity’s Piazza for a full weekend this July
• Classic Car Boot Sale is a celebration of classic vehicles, vintage and designer secondhand fashion and homewares, street food and bars serving from classic buses, vans and trucks all set to vinyl spinning DJs
• Applications now open for vintage and designer secondhand traders, street food traders, classic vehicle owners to showcase and sell

The Classic Car Boot Sale has announced its first event north of London with a one-of-a-kind event in MediaCity, Salford this summer that will be a vintage, preloved and classic car / vehicle enthusiast’s paradise.

The stand-out event assembles and matches the finest vintage and sustainable fashion, accessories and homewares traders from across the UK and gathers them all in one location. Along with stunning cars, daily ride ups from scooter and motorcycle clubs, classic bicycles, Bus Bars, street food served from classic vans DJs playing everything from the  rockabilly through 60s Garage and Beat, to reggae and ska, Glam Rock, Northern Soul, Punk, Disco, 80s, Electronica, with a bit of cool easy listening and library thrown in for good measures.

The Classic Car Boot Sale is a festival in its own right, a celebration of the history of youth culture, fashion and automotive history.

Having held bi-annual events across London since 2011, every edition of the Classic Car Boot Sale is family friendly (dog-friendly) and sees over 150 vintage vehicles and traders joined by thousands of shoppers, collectors, vinyl lovers and petrol heads, for a celebration of all things vintage, collectable and up-cycled.

Just a few months away from the big weekend (July 20th & 21st), event organisers are opening up applications to anyone who would like to get involved.

Classic car and two wheels bike owners of pre 1990s vehicles can apply to display their motor whilst paired with best vintage sellers that the North has to offer.

There will also be a ‘suitcase sale’ section, where those with smaller collections can sell out of vintage suitcase across the weekend.

The UK’s first charity department store, Charity Super.Mkt will also make a return, with a pop-up raising money for a number of different charities.

It has brilliant spaces, an iconic backdrop, and is well connected by public transport and road. It’s a location at the heart of the UK that people, traders and classic vehicle owners can get to from towns and cities across the British Isles.

And you don’t need a classic car to trade out of – think of us like a dating agency. If you don’t have a classic vehicle to trade from, we’ll pair you up with one of our lovely classic car owners.

The Classic Car Boot Sale is a joyous mix of good designer, preloved second-hand and sustainable fashion, homewares, vinyl and curios selling alongside timeless classic cars and bikes all set to an amazing soundtrack. It’s such an exciting and energising event so get your applications in.”
