Timeline to unveil brand new outside broadcast truck in MediaCityUK
Timeline Television is set to launch its multi-million pound, state-of-the-art, triple expanding IP 4K HDR 32-camera outside broadcast truck on Tuesday 16th May on the piazza in MediaCityUK.
The truck, named UHD2, has been designed and built by Timeline Television to include the latest IP infrastructure and HDR technology. Other OB trucks on display will include Europe’s first 4K UHD truck, UHD1, 4K production and uplink truck, RF1, mid-sized 4K truck, OB16, and our ultra-compact truck, Streamline.
“This new outside broadcast truck will provide fully uncompressed IP capability to broadcasters, ” said Daniel McDonnell, Managing Director, Timeline Television. “For our customers, it means we can scale and expand our facilities with ease to meet their demands. The IP technology will provide support for up to 32, 4K UHD cabled Sony 4300 cameras and 12, 4K UHD EVS servers.”
Timeline has worked closely with SAM to build the brand new unit.

Timeline’s outside broadcast fleet and team will be on the piazza in MediaCityUK on Tuesday 16th May, from 12-6pm, providing tours and demonstrations of 4K IP workflows.
