For the first time The Classic Car Boot Sale will be hosted outside of London and is a must visit this summer.
The stand-out event assembles and matches the finest vintage and sustainable fashion, accessories and homewares traders from across the UK and gathers them all in one location. Along with over 150 stunning vintage cars, daily ride ups from scooter and motorcycle clubs, classic bicycles, Bus Bars, street food served from classic vans. Plus DJ’s including BBC 6 Music DJ Afrodeutsche alongside Vinyl Resting Place, Mr Klemit, Northern Grooves and more playing everything from 60s Garage and Beat, to reggae and ska, Glam Rock, Northern Soul, Punk, Disco, Electronica, with a bit of cool easy listening and library thrown in for good measures.
The Classic Car Boot Sale is a festival in its own right, a celebration of the history of youth culture, fashion and automotive history.
Top class vehicles
Over both days, a range of motors will grace the MediaCity piazza, from niche classics to award winning wheels, there’s so much to explore!
Amongst the assortment of dozens of rare and wonderful wheels booked for the weekend event is a 1975 Renault 12TL, which featured in the BBC TV series Life on Mars, filmed partly in Salford in 2007, as well as an iconic 1980’s A-Team Van.
Additional award-winning cars on display include an immaculate 1949 MG TC, which has bagged 14 show awards to date, plus a 1968 Pontiac Catalina Coupe and 1965 Corvette Stingray convertible.
This selection of classic cars will differ each day, so make sure you come on down both days if you’re keen to get a glance at them all!
This is a family and dog friendly event.
Screen on the Steps
Join us for free showings of classic car films on our brand new waterside screen at our summer hang-out space, the Waterside Steps.
