Get ready for the excitement as Lowry celebrates a quarter-century of creativity and inspiration here in Salford. Since opening its doors in 2000, Lowry has welcomed 18.5 million visitors and now, it’s pulling out all the stops with a spectacular programme of celebratory events, and exhibitions.

LOWRY 360 is the new FREE immersive experience where you will step into the world of LS Lowry’s iconic painting, Going to the Match.  A unique collaboration with Barcelona’s renowned creative studio, Layers of Reality, you will explore in stunning super-high resolution a painting famously described as the finest football painting ever. This ambitious and exciting new experience has been made possible thanks to incredible support from The Law Family Charitable Foundation.

The anniversary programme will also be shining a spotlight on community and young people. Gods of Salford is a Lowry Commission with Not Too Tame which will bring together 25 young people from Salford to create a daring, high-energy theatrical adventure that reimagines Greek myths through the lens of Salford’s working-class spirit.  And Together We Create will fund ten community groups to bring to life their own inspiring projects – supporting the talent that makes Salford extraordinary.

In the Lyric Theatre, you can enjoy the Olivier Award-winning play Dear England, brought by the National Theatre, whilst everyone in the family can enjoy Quentin Blake and Me, a fun, hands-on and FREE exhibition of illustrations by this beloved children’s author.

And for a truly special performance join Aakash Odedra in an unforgettable evening of dance, featuring live music from Manchester Camerata with renowned singers Abi Sampa and Sarthak Kalynai.
