dock10, the UK’s leading television facility, based at MediaCityUK, has today announced the expansion of its post production facilities and the addition of a new creative production space called The Second Floor. This adds a further 14 edit suites, audio tracklay & dubbing suites to dock10’s post production capability to meet the growing demands of customers.
Alongside these post production facilities, The Second Floor also offers office space for production companies looking to move to MediaCityUK. The offices are designed around the particular needs of television production, providing high-speed connectivity capable of 40Mbps upload speeds, along with flexibility, scalability, and collocation with dock10’s studio, post production, and technical infrastructure. This makes The Second Floor ideal for programme makers requiring occasional offices while working on a particular project, as well as for production companies that want to establish a permanent base out of London.
Mark Senior, CEO at dock10, said: “Along with the continual growth of our post production business, we have seen an increased demand for dedicated office space from production companies wanting to relocate to MediaCityUK. The Second Floor has been specifically designed to allow organisations to move in quickly and to immediately benefit from the many advantages this regional creative hub has to offer, including its growing pool of talented broadcast professionals. This high-class facility is built around state-of-the-art television technology, including the recent upgrade of our network to meet the requirements of 4K and UHD television production. Collocated with dock10, this unique space provides on-site access to everything a production needs.”
