MediaCityUK based Equinox Film and TV Production has worked in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s destination team, has produced a series of promotional videos to boost tourism in Bridlington and the surrounding area.
The ‘My Bridlington’ campaign includes four videos featuring Martyn (a local artist) Patrick (Countryside Access Officer), David (RSPB Bempton Site Manager) and Robert (a local gallery owner), sharing their personal stories and experiences of living and working in the Bridlington area.
Filmed over the last 18 months, the charming videos, fondly referred to as the Bridlington postcard campaign, treat viewers to captivating views of Bridlington Old Town, RSPB Bempton Cliffs, The Wolds and the Robert Fuller Gallery.
Released across YouTube and Facebook, viewers are inspired and encouraged to visit the award-winning seaside town, explore the hidden gems, and take advantage of the local recommendations presented by the four featured ambassadors.
Councillor Richard Burton, Leader of East Riding council said:
“I am confident that Bridlington and the surrounding area will be at the heart of a boom in staycations this year, as restrictions are eased, and I am delighted that we are able to promote the area by investing in these wonderful new videos.”
Sophie Finnigan, Producer at Equinox Film and TV Production said:
“We have been working with East Riding of Yorkshire Council on their ‘Visit Bridlington’ multi-channel advertising campaigns, since 2018. It’s a pleasure to apply our tourism advertising experience, and play our part in promoting the unique character and charm of this award-winning seaside town. This ‘My Bridlington’ campaign further contributes towards positioning Bridlington as the UK staycation destination of choice.”
