MediaCityUK has been awarded Green World Ambassador Status by The Green Organisation. The awards recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world. The well-established award is one of the most popular environmental campaigns in the world.
Rachel Williams, Soft Services Manager, Peel Media said:
“I am delighted that MediaCityUK has been awarded Green World Ambassador status and we have won an International Green Apple Award.
We have over 8,000 people working, living and studying at MediaCityUK; sustainability and being conscious of our environmental impact is extremely important to MediaCityUK and I’m very proud we have been recognised for our hard work here.
Going forward we will continue to integrate innovative and smart solutions for waste management and continue to make an ecosystem in which we can all live, work and play, with plenty of green spaces to enjoy and encourage well-being.”
The Green Apple Environment Awards were launched by The Green Organisation in 1994 and are fundamental to The Green Organisations philosophy of helping others to help the environment.
