MediaCityUK physiotherapist expands health and wellbeing services
Therapy First, the principal physiotherapy practice in MediaCityUK, is branching out and offering first-aid training courses through its sister company Response First.
Established in 2011 by Jadwiga and Saied, Therapy First already offers a wide range of treatments from sports musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy, reiki, reflexology, sports massage, holistic facials and acupuncture – all from a centre in The Greenhouse at MediaCityUK.
Saied, who previously worked in education and training and is also a trained dance teacher, realised there was a gap in the market for first aid training that protects employers, customers and businesses. He then set about creating a new enterprise that can deliver not only first aid but manual handling, health and safety and fire training.
Talking about his businesses Saied said: “Since opening our MediaCityUK centre back in 2013, we have had an excellent response to our services and built a loyal client base across the city, including a referral contract with BBC North. I was keen to grow our business and felt there was a need for first aid training, so set about establishing Response First. Our courses are Ofqual regulated and designed for all types of workplaces and we look forward to working with more of the companies across MediaCityUK”.
Lynn Haime, Asset Managers at MediaCityUK said: “MediaCityUK is packed with creative and technology businesses, many of whom spend long periods of time sat at a desk or in front of a monitor – so being able to offer a range of health and wellbeing services to our community is vital. We have a hypnotherapist and Pilate’s instructor in the Greenhouse and also offer a diverse sports programme (including football, netball and lunchtime bootcamps), so there’s lots of opportunities for people to take time out and focus on their wellbeing”.
Therapy First Physiotherapy clinic will also be the official provider of sports therapy and physiotherapy at the We Love Manchester 10k and The Salford 10K. Its highly experienced team will provide sports therapy on the day and offer practical help and guidance for all the runners.
They will be offering participants 20% off sports massage for all WLM10K and S10k 2016 runners and will be kindly donating 10% of any fees spent on sports therapy, sports massage, acupuncture, holistic therapy or physiotherapy to a nominated charity. To make the most of the offer, simply show your proof of race entry for the 2016 race (your email confirmation) to the clinic to receive the discount. Last year year’s nominated charity was Reuben’s Retreat
